What I’m proud of

Nov 3 What are you most proud of to date in your teaching career?

I think I’m most proud of my adaptation skills.  I’ve now taught in a few different positions where I was given little to no curriculum and then had to create it myself.  The challenge of it has become fun to me even while it can be almost too stressful but finding something valuable to teach in that subject area and having kids learn something.

  1. Thanks for your comment. I agree, it’s always nice when former students come back and tell you what they’ve been up to and what a difference you’ve made in their lives. It’s definitely a good feeling.

  2. Hi Kelly! It’s great to have you in our challenge 🙂 Your post really hit home – I think one of the most important skills we can have in teaching is to be flexible and resilient. It sounds like these are definitely skills you have. I’ve also taught many levels and have loved all of them. I like that you always want to find the positives of your situation. Looking forward to your next post.
    Justine 🙂
